The Company
The company FORKYS FOODS is a modern, certified unit operating in the sector of live & frozen crabs, fresh seafood & shellfish
It was founded in 2011 in Thessaloniki by Theodoros Kravvas and Vasilios Kravvas.
The company participates in the stages of production, packaging and shipment of live/frozen fish/crabs/shellfish/lobster to their destination (EUROPE, ASIA and USA).
Production process
The entire production process is carried out according to strict quality controls. All catches are processed and frozen while still alive.
Visual inspection before receipt is carried out by experienced personnel.
Microbiological tests and water analyses
Certified packaging materials and consumables (suitable for food)
Maintenance of cold chain with temperature recorders in all production phases.
Collection
Collection of crabs(BLUECRAB), crayfish (Astacus leptodactylus) and other catches/shellfish from local fishermen.
Transportation
Transportation to the company, with privately owned, ATP-certified refrigerated trucks.
Packaging
Packaging of products in our facilities after mortality control, cleaning/washing, size/gender distribution.
Storage
Storage at -18°C or in 0°C storage and transportation to our customers around the world.
